HPE Server Virtualisation

Why HPE Server Virtualisation?

VMware vSphere from HP

vSphere is a highly efficient IT infrastructure, powered by VMware software running on HPE ProLiant Gen8 servers, that’s more streamlined, more self-sufficient and more intuitive than any previous server.

HPE supports vSphere on many ProLiant servers, offering a customised VMware vSphere image with active HPE ProLiant management and consolidated lifecycle management, for a consistent, reliable ProLiant experience and management simplicity in virtual environments.

HPE provides deep integration with VMware vCenter, managing both the virtual VMware environment and physical environment from HP, using HPE Insight Control extension for VMware vCenter Server to enable: deployment, provisioning, monitoring, remote control and power optimisation directly from the VMware vCenter console.

With Microsoft Hyper-V

Together HPE and Microsoft Hyper-V Server deliver a virtualisation solution that combines: hypervisor, management software, servers, storage and services to create a highly optimised virtualised environment, capable of consolidating multiple physical machines running multiple OS onto fewer physical servers. This solution drives optimal usage of multiple systems using management tools that support quick migration of applications from one physical server to another with minimal downtime.

Virtualisation on Integrity

HPE Integrity Server Blades offer flexible and versatile two, four and eight-socket systems, ideal for mission-critical enterprise applications. These blades offer support for hard partitioning, HPE-UX Virtual Partitions and HPE Integrity Virtual Machines, providing mission-critical levels of virtualization, availability, and flexibility.

For HP-UX, HPE Virtualisation Continuum solutions overcome one of the major challenges of the enterprise—consolidating diverse workloads to most effectively optimise computing resources and workload management, while improving Return on IT investment. HPE's broad set of virtualisation technologies range from electrical and dynamic partitions to virtual machines and containers, creating virtual environments with either separate OS instances or isolated workloads and can be combined together.
